FOOD PORN AND DAILY WORKOUTS

Well, more like an amateur foodporn ;) cause I have no real camera to take really good pictures, so I still have to take photos with my cellphone, which really sucks. I am not one of those who seek a phone with the best camera possible, I think phone is for calling and texting, that's it. (I use mine for geocaching, e-mail reading and occasional using of google maps when I get lost in the city, haha). I do not necessarily NEED a camera, but I would love to have one. I always wanted to, but never had a money to buy one, there always were more important things to buy. I do not need a super dooper expensive machine, I think I would go perfectly OK with one of those compact Lumixes we used to work with at my old job. We'll see :)

So!

I really felt like cooking today, it is Sunday and I am spending pretty active day at home. The weather outside is amazing, but I really do not know where to go, so I decided to stay home today and do something useful. I had my workout earlier in the morning after breakfast and now after lunch I would like to have another one, I just feel like it, so why the hell not, I can do whatever I want :)

Yesterday I was browsing through Nom Nom Paleo's blog and found these: Cinnamon and Coconut Pancakes. So these made my breakfast today and turned out AMAZING. See pic below. (Click it to see the full size).

I wanna make them tonight again and save them for tomorrow's breakfast. I have to start making b-fasts the day before, because in the morning I am really short on time. These are quick, delicious and I am very happy I got them right on a first try (not as that cake I was trying to make yesterday, where I used almond meal that was accidentally soaked in aroma oil from a air freshener that leaked while I was moving here and I almost poisoned myself - NOT INTENTIONALLY, thank the maker that I tasted the mixture before putting it in the oven, lol). Next time I wanna try some chocolate pouring over these and maybe some fresh blueberries, yumm!!! But for sure NO AROMA OIL :D

 

 

 

My lunch yesterday was basically the same as my dinner today will be, I just had a bigger piece of meat (I saved the bigger one for today, the smaller one from Satuday is on the picture.) Along with it I had some oven grilled eggplant, curried zucchini, hardboiled egg and mashed avocado (it was too soft to stay in shape, haha).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And to save the best for last, did I already tell you that I have a new oven? I am sure I did :) But I never showed it to ya. So here we go! It is not as amazing and the Sous Vide oven Nom Nom Paleo loves so much, but that one is waaaaaay too expensive for me, but I can perfectly work with this badboy. It is something between regular microwave and hot air oven. It can grill, bake, steam, defrost and so on. Here it is:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So and today I used the special "crisp" program to make the prettiest frittata I ever made!

Here is is before going to the oven (ground beef, some zucchini, tomatoes, red pepper, leftover eggplant, salt, pepper and oregano):

Looks like a pizza, right? :D I wanna call it pizzata :P

I can't even describe how great I am feeling now that I really got back, seems like everything is the way it is suppose to be now. I started to workout on daily bases again. To be more precise, I am trying to ONLY do one workout a day, which is really hard right now, because I have so much energy I wanna do more, but from the past I know how painful overtraining can be, so I am not doing any crazy things. I did an amazing older workout yesterday, rocked it and this morning my arms (mostly shoulder "section") were pretty sore from all those pushups I did. It was a time challenge and I did all those 50 one legged pushups in about 4 minutes (with some resting of course.) I promised I will be practising more upper body exercises, so I am doing so. No slacking! The Reptile on the run was challenging too, but to my suprise not as much as GetUps with sandbag! Those killed me for good 10 minutes and it was neverending! :) Today I found an older workout that I didn't do for some reason in the past, so I did it this morning, ignored the soreness in my arms. This one was full of squats and different variations of pushups (dive bombers, which I HATE, and tricep leg lifts, which I LOVE), and I really enjoyed this one. Even my score was a blast :) Still crying about my pullup bar :( but I can do something else to improve uperbody wise.

I am glad my old energy and effort is back. Now I feel like I can do ANYTHING. I am a fighter, I need things in life I can fight for. Most of the time journey of a fighter is lonely, but I have so much support around me, that I will never feel alone. Thank you for that :)

Your pizzata looks delicious!!! :D I love your oven, I think it's bigger and deeper than the one I have. I'm also trying not to overtrain myself even though sometimes there are times that I had way too much energy and didn't know what to do with those :D

I overtrained a few times and even though I always say that I will never do that again, I can't help it :( I just wanna get that energy out when I have it :D Now I am in bed with sore throat, lol.
